The dynamics of student values in the post-Soviet period

The paper analyzes sociological studies of the dynamics of student values in the post-Soviet period. The factors affecting the formation of values of students are considered. The historical periods and core values for youth in these periods are analyzed. The author also defines the conditions under which the transformation of values is taking place. Over the past few decades, Russian society is undergoing an active transformation of the value system, first of all, it affects the youth environment. The topic under consideration is relevant for Russian sociology, since it is the dynamics of youth values that is responsible for the dynamics of generations. Each generation has defining values, differences in these values are determined as a result of the cultural and historical development of society. Modern youth is characterized by new value orientations. A study of the changing characteristics of the students’ values in the post-Soviet period will allow us to develop a modern value-orientation portrait of a person.
