Hematological studies revealed a change in the blood parameters of rabbits after resection of the ovaries of the wound, which was sutured with ab-sorbable surgical threads (catgut and «Alloplant»). It was established that in animals, in which as a su-ture material to close ovarian wounds thread of catgut was used, the observed increase in the number of leukocytes to the sixth day after surgery was (29.0 %) in comparison with data before the operation. The number of erythrocytes, thrombo-cytes, hemoglobin content and the number of hematocrite on the sixth day after partial resection of the ovary significantly decreased by 24.0 %, 20.0 %, 14.0 % and 14.0 %, respectively, com-pared with preoperative values. Further, these pa-rameters were changed in waves and approached the preoperative values only to the twenty-fourth day after the surgery. In animals, in which for clos-ing wounds of the ovary after partial resection thread «Alloplant» was used, on the sixth day after the operation, the number of leukocytes and thrombocytes significantly increased by 15.5 % and 21.0 %, respectively, compared with preoperative values. Hemoglobin and hematocrite in the number in the group, where the suture material the thread «Alloplant» in the postoperative period was used did not significantly change. In the experimental group rabbits in which for closure of the surgical ovarian wounds thread «Alloplant» was used, the number of erythrocytes, declining for the twelfth day, and then returned to preoperative values and did not significantly change. Thus, findings on the change of hematological parameters blood indicate a lesser degree of damage in the body of rabbits when for suturing surgical ovarian wounds thread «Alloplant was used».
