Civic engagement performance in the Vologda oblast

In March - April 2018, the Volgograd Scientific Center of the Volga Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences conducted the next stage of monitoring public opinion about the socio-economic and political situation in the country and region 1. The following material presents the results of a survey characterizing the dynamics of civic activity of the population. 1 A block of questions reflecting the dynamics of civic activity of the population is asked as part of the monitoring of public opinion once a year (in March - April) from 2011. Monitoring has been carried out since 1996 with a frequency of once every two months. 1,500 respondents over 18 years of age are interviewed in the cities of Vologda and Cherepovets, as well as in 8 regions of the region (Babaevsky, Velikoustyugsky, Vozhegodsky, Gryazovetsky, Kirillovsky, Nikolsky, Tarnogsky, Sheksninsky districts). The representativeness of the sample is ensured by the following conditions: proportions between urban and rural population; proportions between residents of various types of settlements (rural settlements, small and medium-sized cities); age and sex structure of the adult population of the region. The survey method is a survey of respondents at the place of residence. The sampling error does not exceed 3%.
