Dynamics of Emigration Sentiments of Russian Citizens During the Challenging Times of 2020-2025

The article is devoted to the study of the dynamics of emigration sentiments among Russian citizens in the period from 2020 to 2025. Based on the analysis of data from VTsIOM, Levada Center, and Gallup Inc., the authors identify trends in the decline of emigration potential against the backdrop of significant foreign and domestic policy events. Particular attention is paid to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the special military operation, internal mobilization and the agenda on public attitudes. The results show that, contrary to classical models of push-pull migration, the emigration intentions of Russian citizens have reached a historical minimum. The explanation is in the strengthening of patriotic sentiments, consolidation of society, and a reassessment of the value of citizenship in the context of global confrontation.
