Polymorphisms of milk protein genes may be useful as genetic markers for additional selection criteria in dairy cattle breeding for economically advantageous traits. The aim of this work was to analyze the polymorphism of the thyroglobulin gene in the Tatarstan cattle of Holstein breed. The results of the study are valuable for creating a herd of breeding animals with a given productivity of the breeding stock.
