The article deals with the physical development and a cardiorespiratory system of female students in their first and second years in special medical group. A total of 47 students were examined diagnosed vegetative-vascular dystonia with abnormalities in cardiorespiratory system. Anthropomorphic measurement and functional testing of students of Ulyanovsk State University were made in the first and second years of studying four times a year (in September, December, February, June). Physical Education lessons were given according to the program established for special medical group students. The paper reveals that all examined first-year students have normal indices of arterial pressure, respiratory system, body mass index, adaptive capacity and functional cardiovascular reserve. Junior students have pronounced tachycardia, negative reaction on functional tests, poor physical health. Second-year students are prone to maladaptation and vascular disorder — below the average, as well as sympathetic innervations.
