Dynamics of morphological changes of the heart in myocardial pathology in cats of main coon breeds

This research is devoted to the study of the dynamics of changes in the structures of the heart in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in Maine Coon cats. The research was conducted in veterinary clinics of Kazan. The objects of the study were Maine Coon cats (n=10). Based on echocardiography, it was established that hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in cats was registered in 100% of cases, in cats the diagnosis was confirmed only in 60% of cases. The degree of severity of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in cat breeds Maine Coon has a clear sexual difference. It was found that in Maine Coon cats compared with cats of the same breed morphological changes were more pronounced.
