Dynamics of socio-political sentiment and analysis of the results of regional elections of 2018-2019 in the Khabarovsk territory

The article presents the data of the study of the dynamics of socio-political moods and an analysis of the results of regional-level elections of 2018-2019 in the Khabarovsk Region. In 2019, a sociological study was conducted in this region to determine the reasons for the formation of protest socio-political moods. To analyze the elections at the regional level, the author used the results of the elections of the governor of the Khabarovsk Region in 2018 and the results of the elections of deputies to the Legislative Duma of the Khabarovsk Region in 2019. For comparison, the author considered the elections of the mayor of Khabarovsk in 2018 and the election of deputies to the Khabarovsk City Duma in 2019. Based on the study, the article determines the features of the formation of protest socio-political moods of the residents of the Khabarovsk Region and the trends in their influence on the results of elections at the regional level (protest voting), as well as the reasons for the defeat of the past governor V. Shport and the victory of the new governor S. Furgal, and the reasons for the fall in the results of «United Russia» and the victory of the LDPR.
