The dynamics of skeletal homeostasis indices in traumatological patients under HBO

35 patients with fractures of long tubular bones, who were subjected to close transosseous osteosynthesis with the Ilizarov fixator, were studied in dynamics. HBO treatment was made in 15 patients postoperatively and 20 patients were treated without barotherapy. The activity of alkaline (AlPh) and acid phosphatases (AcPh) in blood serum was determined as well as their bone isoenzymes (Bone AlPh and Tartrate-resistant AcPh), the levels of general calcium, magnesium, inorganic phosphate and chlorides. A positive effect of HBO-therapy use on the quality and time periods of fracture consolidation was proved.
