The relevance of the topic is determined by the current need for import substitution and the acceleration of processes for creating innovative and high-tech products. The creation of conditions for developing high-tech products, particularly through the establishment of appropriate infrastructure, attracts significant state investment to the region. Subsequently, with the successful creation and operation of this infrastructure, specifically industrial parks, private investment begins to flow in. Undoubtedly, regions strive to establish infrastructure for the development of innovative products. The authors of the article attempt to analyze how effective this can be and why it may not be appropriate to create industrial parks in all regions. This analysis is conducted from the perspective of the dynamics of industrial park development and the contribution of regions to high-tech product creation. Based on data from the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System, the article presents a year-by-year overview and comparison of regions by the number of industrial parks, the number of park residents, and their contribution to industrial output, highlighting the leading regions. The study concludes by assessing the regions' potential to strengthen the innovative component of economic development.
