The article examines the dynamics of the implementation of anti-Russian policies by the countries of the collective West on the eve and during the military special operation to liberate the eastern regions of Ukraine from the reactionary Kiev regime, which has a negative impact on Russian-Ukrainian relations and aims to continue the exploitation by Western European states of the destabilisation and destruction of the system of collective security on the territory of the Ukrainian state. The dynamics are examined through a content analysis of materials from contemporary Russian news agencies and media outlets (“RIA. Novosti”, “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, “TASS.ru”, “NNS. National News Service”, “URA.ru”, “Lenta.ru”, “Gazeta.ru”, “Interfax.ru”, “Izvestiya”, “Kommersant”, “Vedomosti”, “Expert”). The anti-Russian policy of the collective West, implemented on the territory of the Ukrainian state, is systemic in nature and continues the trend of active widespread imposition of liberal values, implemented by the ruling elites of Western European countries, as opposed to the priorities of the “Russian world”. The overt attempts to present the Russian Federation as an aggressor and the main enemy for the entire progressive world entail destabilization of the international environment and the risk of the local Russian-Ukrainian confrontation escalating into a global one.
