The changes results in the level of physical and technical preparedness of students during intersessional basketball practice in a high school section are presented. The content analysis results of physical training programs shows big partial contribution of basketball in total practice time. A small amount of hours given for basketball in semesters 1-6 and its absence in the curriculum in semesters 7-8, demonstrate the need for development of effective non-curricular (sectional) training options of practice. Lack of effectiveness of the traditional students' physical education process has resulted in at least 20% of excellent marks during testing and about 40% of satisfactory ones, reflecting the need for improvement of their physical condition. In the developed non-academic basketball training program with students during the semester is a macrocycle of 3,5-4 months duration, consisting of three phases -general preparatory, special preparatory and precompetitive with the duration of each one within 6 weeks. High efficiency of the developed non-academic basketball training program in comparison with the traditional one showed significant improvement of 83% of the studied parameters of physical preparedness. In addition: during 3,5 months of training 25% of the considered metrics significantly improved in the control group, in the experimental - all four of the analyzed criteria of technical preparedness.
