The dynamics of intraosseous pressure after high tibial osteotomy in patients with gonarthrosis

Intraosseous pressure (IOP) of the tibia was measured in 20 patients with gonarthrosis of II-III degree before treatment, immediately after high tibial osteotomy and during some following days (4-5 days). It was established that IOP depended on the severity of the degenerative changes in the articular tissues. Marked analgetic effect was noted, caused by 30-35% decrease of IOP postoperatively. Effectiveness of treatment was achieved in 98,5% of cases.
