A dynasty of priests who left for Finland after the Kronstadt uprising

The article refers to the Pokrovskaya (of the Intercession of the Theotokos) and Nikolskaya (of St. Nicholas) congregations that arose in connection with the calendar reform carried out by the Finnish Orthodox Church. Special attention is paid to the rectors of these communities, two brothers, George and Boris Pavinsky. The life of the clergy and members of the communities, the difficulties faced by these parishes are described. Drawing on archival data, the author of the article cites the memories of people who knew Fr. Boris and Fr. George. The article also examines the relationship between the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate and the Finnish Orthodox Church.
