The article discusses implicit ways of communicating intentions in a situation of disagreement in diplomatic discourse. Aspects of the discourse study are considered with revealing the specificity of its semiotic loci. An analysis of diplomatic discourse fragment is given. The article identifies and explains implicit intentions of the diplomats in discussing a procedural issue.
