In the modern world where unemployment rates are quite high, issues related to the employment of citizens are of particular relevance. The Russian legislation system in this area allows job applicants not only to search for vacancies, but also to defend job refusals in court. At the same time, the existing presumption of selecting the «best» employee «solely on the basis of professional qualities» is based not only on normative legal acts, but also on judicial practice. However, even such an existing legal framework does not reduce the number of disputes over job refusals. The author considers that the improvement of labour legislation will be facilitated by the digitization of recruitment tools.
