Discourse of Dagestan theologians regarding “false sheikhdom” (brief view on the history of the issue)

The article deals with the issue of “false sheikhdom” in Dagestan Arabic polemical theological works of the early twentieth century.The controversy on this issue originated at thatperiod and was reflected in the works by modern theologians. The consideration of this question is included into research of the history of Sufism in Dagestan.
