Discourse of social problems during the сoronavirus pandemic

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus infection SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) a pandemic. The pandemic has led to thegovernment’s extraordinary steps around the world. International transport links were stopped, social facilities were closed, not only social, but also family ties were disconnected. This was a shocking event for society. In this regard, the language dynamics of word formation has sharply developed. The problems of the epidemic have given rise to new speech metaphors, lexical and word-building innovations. In the context of the rupture of social ties, the unifying role of society was taken over by the Internet, social networks, and the media. They not only unfolded an active discourse on the topic of coronavirus but also became the arena of active linguistic creativity and adaptation of society to new realities in sociolinguistic terms.
