The article analyses the notions 'divergence' and 'cooperation' as key premises of institutional and evolutional theory necessary for critical analysis of political and sociо-economic processes in modern societies and significant for revealing of institutional dependence organization in the trajectory of preceding development (pat-dependence) in transition societies. The author relies on the main propositions of institutional and evolutional theory of D. North.
