В данном обзоре приведены современные сведения об этиопатогенезе, клинике, диагностике и лечении дивертикулярной болезни толстого кишечника (ДБТК). На основании проведенного анализа и эпидемиологических данных данную патологию можно отнести к глобальной эпидемии 21 века, ассоциированной с вестернизацией образа жизни и постарением населения в цивилизованных странах. Описанная тактика ведения больных с данной патологией базируется на мировых тенденциях, сформировавшихся в последнее десятилетие.
