Dividend payments of fuel and energy complex companies: current state and importance for the industry

Considering the active development of the stock market and increasing investor demand for shares of public companies, those included in the fuel and energy complex, an analysis of the history of dividend payments of Russian and foreign fuel and energy companies was carried out, and зtheir features were identified. Next, a comparative analysis of dividends from companies in the fuel and energy sector was carried out with average market values of dividend payments, namely with the Russian iMOEX index and the American S&P 500 index. The importance of dividend payments for fuel and energy companies, considering the specifics of the industry, was also identified, and disclosed by comparing data on average trading volume with the high technology sector.
