The contract for the provision of information services: concept and characteristics

Purpose: The author examines the problems of contractual relations, which are traditionally the subject of civil law regulation. Methodology: Formal legal and comparative legal methods were used when writing the paper. Results: The author analyzes and compares the legal framework in which the sphere of information services is regulated. Highlights the distinctive features of the agreement. Concludes that the information services category should be returned to the current law on information. Novelty/originality/value: Author consider areas of legal regulation of relations that require the use of institutions or individual elements of another branch of law. Within the framework of information law, contractual structures are used to regulate relations in the following areas: work on creating information systems, carrying out business activities using the Internet information and communication network, providing remote access to remote databases, etc.
