Contract criminal procedure law as a sub-branch of modern Russian criminal procedure law

In the Russian criminal procedural law, a sub-branch has been formed, which can be called contractual criminal procedural law. It includes criminal procedural proceedings, the basis of which is the agreement of the parties regarding the outcome of the case or its direction. This sub-branch of law is based on a system of its principles. These include the principles of speed, discretion, accusation, expediency, freedom of a person from selfdisclosure, formal truth. The contractual criminal procedure mechanism serves as an addition to the general procedure for criminal proceedings. Its purpose is to achieve the general goals of criminal proceedings in an accelerated, simplified legal regime, saving the forces and means of public authority, as well as humanizing the criminal law impact. The article gives a general description of the new - contractual sub-branch of the modern criminal process in Russia and argues the need for its development.
