Before-Cambrian geology on the territory of the botanic garden

The description of the crystal foundation’s structure on the territory of the PetrSU Botanic Garden that is represented by different facial volcanogenous formations (lavas, tufas and others) of the Suisar and Zaonegye suites of the paleoproterozoic period is adduced. The got geochronological data served the material for the correlation between the Suisar formations and those of other Fennoskandian regions, carried out with the help of Sm-Nd and Pb-Pb methods (1975 ± 24 and 1980 ± 57 mln years).
