Long-term development of the real economy in the context of achieving economic security

The article examines the long-term evolution of the real economy and its foundation – industry – in the context of economic security. The experience of three historical and the fourth modern industrial revolutions is examined. The positive and negative effects (those that weaken economic security) of these revolutions are highlighted. Measures aimed at mitigating the negative consequences of industrial revolutions are proposed.
