The United States dollar is the reserve currency of the global financial system

This article presents the comprehensive assessment of the role and place of the United States dollar in the global financial and monetary system, determines the influence of monetary and currency policy of the US Federal Reserve System on monetary relations and economy of certain countries. The paper defines the essential features that are criteria and indicators of the reserve currency, expands the evidence base for the legitimacy of the United States dollar leadership recognition. The research results can be used while conducting macroeconomic analysis and estimating the impact of the external shocks on the economic situation.
