The analysis of algoflora, dominant species and quantitative development of phytoplankton of Cheboksary reservoir in the second half of the summer of 2022 was carried out. Cyanoprokaryotes played a leading role in the formation of algocenoses. Their proportion was up to 90% of the total population and 50% of the biomass. There are trivial pathogens of water blooming in the complex of dominant species (species of the genera Microcystis and Aphanizomenon).
