The house building of Russian old-timers in the Middle Angara region (the new results of field investigations)

The publication is considered the new research field results in the sphere of house building among Russian old-timers in the Middle Angara Region. The study showed a predominance of closed estates and five-walled houses with oven heating. New construction almost does not exist. Renewal of construction observed in the 1970s, when houses and outbuildings were moved away from flood zone of Ilim and Bratsk water-reservoirs. This process demonstrated the continuity of the basic building traditions in the settling estates, the construction of dwellings, the building rites in general.
