Pre-restoration development of the Soviet state: socio-economic aspect

The article reveals the features of socio-economic relations in the USSR in the years preceding "perestroika" (early 1960s - mid 1980s). It is noted that the pre-perestroika period proceeded in peaceful conditions, without a mobilization component, and the Soviet ruling elite was given the opportunity to organize the economy according to the Marxist-Leninist canons. However, all attempts were ultimately unsuccessful. The reasons for this phenomenon are revealed.
