Further education in tourism as a condition for improving quality of hospitality services in Russia

Tourism is becoming one of priority branches of economy in the Russian Federation. For the last few years, the Russian travel industry has changed. Tourists have become more particular about qualification of the travel industry personnel. In this context the requirement of creating the balanced education system in tourism has increased. The article describes a package of measures for improving the quality of preparation, retraining and development of personnel for the travel industry. Additional professional education is an important element of the education system in the tourist sphere. Steps for creating the continuous education system are also described. The article discusses the experience of foreign and Russian companies in the sphere of additional professional education. The project Travel School is of particular interest.
