The researches were conducted at All-Russia research institute of oil crops by Pustovoit V.S., Krasnodar, in 2012-2016. The purpose of the researches was to develop additional criteria for estimation of sunflower varieties uniformity in production of foundation and certified seeds. There were involved into research the seeds of different reproductions: breeder seeds from the reproductive plots, foundation seeds, elite and certified seeds of the sunflower varieties Buzuluk, SUR, Lakomka and Oreshek produced in the central zone of the Krasnodar region. Oil content, fatty-acid composition and 1000 seeds weight of the initial seeds lots were studied. Oil content in seeds were evaluated due to the State Standard R 8.620-2006, 1000 seeds weight - due to the State Standard 12042-80. Yield qualities of these seeds were estimated in 2014-2016 on plots with total area 24.5 sq. m, accounting area 12.2 sq. m in three repetitions. To estimate concentration of dominant Rf-genes in variety populations, we conducted crosses with CMS source using pollen mix, collected from 100 plant of each experimental variant. Resistance to broomrape was evaluated in the laboratory of immunity and molecular marking of the sunflower department of VNIIMK. Results showed usage of such traits as concentration of dominant Rf-genes and a level of broomrape affection, in addition to sowing and yield qualities of seeds, furthers revealing the latent variability in sunflower OP population. Moreover, such new criteria of estimation allow to specify the character and level of variety infestation on the different reproductive stages in production of foundation and certified seeds.
