The publication represents the materials of a correspondence round table dedicated to the publication in 2021, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of F. M. Dostoevsky, of a new scientific edition of the book “Dostoevsky: Tragedy - Myth - Mysticism”, first published in 1932 in German, by the Russian religious philosopher and poet of the Silver Age, the greatest theorist of symbolism V. I. Ivanov. The round table aims at a multifaceted analysis of one of the most original trends in Russian thought of the twentieth century - Vyacheslav. Ivanov's Dostoevsky studies. The publication opens with an introductory word by the editor-in-chief of the “RussianByzantine Bulletin” I. B. Gavrilov, which includes a brief overview of the contents of the book under discussion and its appendices, among which the German-language reviews “Dostoevsky in the life and thought of V. I. Ivanov (1883-1949)”, compiled by A. B. Shishkin and A. L. Sobolev, as well as analytical articles by A. B. Shishkin and M. B. Plyukhanova, contemporary Ivanov scholars, are especially highlighted. Next, experts invited to participate in the discussion - historians of Russian literature, theologians, researchers of Vyacheslav Ivanov's philosophical ideas: priest D. Sizonenko, S. A. Kibalnichenko, A. V. Markidonov, and S. D. Titarenko - express their opinions. The researchers note that Ivanov's book reveals his understanding of Dostoevsky's tragic worldview, the classic's faith in the future revival of Russia and his vision of its global Christian destiny. It is emphasized that Ivanov had and continues to have a significant influence on the development of religious and philosophical understanding of the heritage of the great Russian writer.
