The worth of a scientific method: cultural-historical epistemology in the mirror of political theory

“Cultural and historical epistemology” is the name of a new trend initiated by Boris Pruzhinin, who’s life-long specialization has been philosophy of science. The article is an appreciation of the trend done from vantage point of modem political philosophy. The author acknowledges disciplinaiy relevance of cultural and historical epistemology to the concerns of humanities as they formed throughout West- European twentieth century. The new epistemology is said to be of special import for contemporary science as it acquires a better awareness of its new cognitive and ethical status.
