Public trust in state executive authorities and prospects for management technologies of its creation: a sociological analysis (a case of Volgograd region)

The research analyzes the level of public trust in state executive authorities considering a number of factors such as the quality of management decisions made by regional authorities, the level of public awareness of the measures implemented, the nature of the current rules of interaction between the government and society. The results of the author’s research represented by a questionnaire reveal the low level of public trust in executive bodies due to the low level of trust in general, the inability of citizens to influence the decisions and actions of the authorities, the lack of the logical understanding of the government bodies’ actions. At the same time, the management technologies used by the executive authorities to create trust (information, organizational, and legal ones) demonstrate the low effectiveness because of their non-systemic and inconsistent application that determines the areas of their improvement.
