Trust in the System of Value and Target Priorities of Russia at the Present Stage

Introduction: the scientific paper deals with a rather urgent and acute problem – trust in the system of value and target priorities of Russia at the present stage of development. It highlights the issue of public trust in the state and law as a necessary basis for the formation of values and spiritual and moral attitudes of the individual. The scientific novelty of the research, based on the conclusions of not only public law sciences, is manifested in the fact that trust, being a category of economic, social, and psychological sciences, acquires its own significance and form in law. The author proves that the experience of social evolution has shown the possibility of trust at different levels of cognitive attitudes of the individual and confirmed its status as an independent universal value worthy of being included in the target priorities of the state. Methods: the methodological framework for the research is made up of the general scientific methods of cognition used in social sciences in general, including in law. They form a system of general, special, and private methods of scientific research. Among the most significant general methods of cognition, the metaphysical method, the formal logical method, and the methods of analysis, induction, deduction, and consistency are used. The special and private methods are represented mainly by the legal-dogmatic (formallegal) and comparative law methods. Results: during the analysis of scientific papers, the author turned to the fundamental works of renowned foreign scientists and modern scholars of legal doctrine in the field of the phenomenon of trust. It is revealed that the value-oriented priorities of the state are closely related to trust and have a formal legal basis. Trust acts as the basis of an individual’s worldview and the value orientations of society and the state, supported by the tradition of the legal doctrine of the Russian state. It is established that the category of trust, in relation to the state legal system, manifests itself in the form of generalized trust based on the social solidarity of citizens, manifested in the history of the evolution of Russian statehood through collectivism, social responsibility of the individual, mutual assistance, and other traditional values.
