Sentinel epidemiological surveillance of severe acute respiratory infections in the Kyrgyz Republic (2021-2024)

The article discusses the activity of SARI and changes in its infectious etiology. The epidemiology of SARI and clinical manifestations by etiology for 2021-2024 are described. An analysis of secondary data from the multi-country EuroSave study was conducted. The results of the study are 7314 patients with SARI. Severe clinical symptoms, including difficulty breathing, admission to the intensive care unit, and receipt of respiratory support, were common among cases of COVID-19, influenza A, and rhinovirus infection.
