The paper aims to introduce the unknown to science works of L. Blokhina on the creation of precious icons framings, to determine the uniqueness of her work as an artistic phenomenon in the church life of the Urals. The paper examines the artwork of L. Blokhina, analyzing her holy icon framings as an area of contemporary church art which carry on aspects of the Ancient Russian tradition while featuring regional (Ural) techniques of gemstone processing. We consider the artistic characteristics of the works of L. Blokhina, based on the synthesis of folk embroidery techniques, the elements of ancient Russian «golden» embroidery patterns, the Ural stone processing technique and the creation of «embossed» icons. Our stylistic, artistic and technical analysis of the works defined them as unique iconic art works, and resulted in introduction of unknown art works designed for church service in scien.
