Edward Albee's drama and French "theatre of absurd": the problems of convergence

In this paper, using the method of comparative-contrastive analysis, we investigate problems of the convergence of the French "theatre of the absurd" and plays of the American writer Edward Albee. In particular art pieces material E. Albee we study writer's creative perception of philosophical-aesthetic concept of the French avant-garde "anti-theater". In the process of analysis of the most significant works of Edward Albee their true innovative nature was revealed, based on the use of graphic means of artistic "theatre of the absurd" with realistic purposes.
