Old Russian musical-written art and its traditions in the spiritual culture of Ural

The author restores the knowledge about works of arts and traces the change of place and role of that art in spiritual culture of South Ural. He bases on analysis of handwritten relics of the past, including musical and written art. It was ascertained that during the lifetime of ancient church singing in Ural lands (XVI-XX ages) its functions grew wider: it was not just the liturgical singing but it became a part of the culture of big democratic circles of Old Believers population.
