The spiritual and moral component of physical education of the growing generation

Brings up today’s problems linked to the deline of ethics, morals, culture and spirituality which occurred in the Russian society over the last 15-20 years. He expresses his personal opinion, but also refers to famous authors: teachers - M.Ja.Vilenskij, V.K. Bal'sevich, V.A. Slastenin, P.F. Lesgaft, Sh.A. Amonashvili, D.N. Davidenko, G.N. Ponomarev; philosophers - N.A. Berdjaev, V.S. Solov'ev. V.S. Bibler et.al.; psychologists - B.G. Anan'ev, V.V.Zelenskij, O.V. Lishin et.al. Also, he analyses questions of physical, religious and spiritual and moral education. Furthermore, he looks at the meaning of physical culture among different peoples and in different times - the Ancient World, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Modern Age. Finally, he suggests a programme in order to find a way out of the spiritual and moral crisis, which should include all types of educational institutions from preschool over secondary and vocational school up to university.
