Spirituality on the other side of science and religion

The article is devoted to the discussion problems of modern spiritual culture. The author notes that modern spirituality develops in a complex, mosaic context of culture, in which science, religion, philosophy, journalism, literature and art, esoteric, television and the Internet are in constant interaction with each other. The principles of tolerance and political correctness, characteristic of the postmodern era, reinforce the effect of semantic uncertainty that accompanies the spiritual culture of our time, which is «on the other side» of science and religion. An example of such cultural extravagance are the phenomena of religious modernism - God-seeking and God-building. Starting from the discussion on these issues between Lenin and Gorky, the author considers various aspects of spiritual culture, which are relevant when addressing the search for God and the construction industry. In modern conditions, the revival and transformation of traditional religion and the emergence of religious-like spiritual practices makes the consideration of borderline forms of spirituality relevant and problematic.
