Spiritual values and their intergenerational transmission in the context of the basic functions of the modern Russian state

The article examines the spiritual values of the modern Russian society, the mechanisms of their transmission from one generation to another, the role of the state in this process. Modern ideas about spiritual values are summarized. It shows that, despite the ambiguity of their content, they always have a systemic nature for the country, set the general vector of its development and affect people's destinies. The article marks out those directions of activity of the modern Russian state, which cannot be realized without transfer of spiritual values from older to younger generations and which contribute to activation of spiritual contacts of different ages in the sphere of politics, science, education, upbringing, ecology. The remarkable thing is that the formation of spiritual values occurs at all levels of society, varying from the individual-personal to the national format - from family conversations, available to everyone, to public PR-actions on a nationwide scale, for the success of which it is necessary to consider the laws of public opinion formation.
