Spiritual values in A.N. Ostrovsky's plays

This article discusses one of the modern approaches to the analysis of pieces of the famous playwright from the second half of the 19-th century, A.N. Ostrovsky from positions identify relationships of his characters to god, their religious people's worldviews and spiritual values. From the drama «Family picture» (1847) until the last works 1870-ies there has been selection writer such spiritual values such as faith, love, family, charity, patience, penance, forgiveness. Different perception of god heroes works shown in the drama "Thunderstorm". The subjects of many of his plays are in the stable «formula»: «care - return», «gap - connection», «offense - reconciliation», «sin - repentance». A.N. Ostrovsky depicted the traditional way of life of the Russian people, their way of life, established principles of faith.
