People will invariably make use of expressions of motion when asked to explain the notion of time. The article considers different approaches to the nature of conceptualization of time, as well as the three basic cognitive models of time as motion. It also shows that the conceptual richness inherent in the spatial domain is typically found in conceptualizing time across languages
