Jazz art within the framework cultural transformations of the XX- XXI centuries

This article discusses the trends of cultural transformations of modern society, including various areas of community employment. The place of musical culture and the role of jazz musical art in the cultural processes of our time are indicated. The article analyzes four main directions of socio-cultural transformations of modern societies. The author in his study proves that the identity crisis is manifested in the abolition of the dichotomy of the mass and the elite in music and jazz art. Based on this, the author notes their influence on the development of musical art as a space for the production of cultural forms. The author concludes that jazz is one of the most promising musical trends, in which the boundaries between elite and mass music are blurred, which is typical for postmodern art.
