Unified state examinations: who and how has passed them

The article deals with the current reformation of the education system in Russia. The author claims that the expert community is coming to the opinion that unified state examinations (USE) have shown their low efficiency in tackling the social problems of a systemic character, which they were intended to solve or mitigate. Still, nobody raises the question of assessment of the risks connected with introduction of USE and ensuing consequences. There is no apparent wish to discuss the outcomes of the past round of USE in the country, although President Medvedev expressed a certain concern over the obtained results. It looks like the efficiency of USE is already acknowledged.
