Evangelisms from the parable of the sower: associative experiment (comparative analysis)

Бесплатный доступ

The article offers a partial comparative analysis of data obtained during a free associative experiment (AE) with two different groups of respondents. The first group consists of 1–4 year Philology majors of the Department of Humanities at the Novosibirsk State University; the second group consists of senior students of the Orthodox Gymnasium in the Name of the Saint Sergy of Radonezh (Novosibirsk). Evangelisms from a New Testament parable were offered to respondents as prompts. The following evangelisms from the Parable of the Sower and the Seed are analyzed: Seyatel (sower), seyat (to sow), semya (seed), zerno (grain) plod (fruit). As a result of comparative analysis, we define the specific traits of responses given in each group, the differences between the world views of respondents from secular and religious educational institutions, possible reasons behind such differences, as well as similar, invariable aspects of the world views of people adhering to different beliefs.
