F. I. Tyutchev and I. S. Turgenev in the perception of L. N. Tolstoy (the book “Reading circle”)

The article deals with the dialogic nature of literary and editorial activities of L. N. Tolstoy in his later period. The features of Tolstoy’s interpretation of the works of Tyutchev and Turgenev which were included in the book “Reading Circle”, are analyzed. The conclusion is made about the “secret” character of Tolstoy’s Christian ethical idea and its immersion into the subtext, as well as the need to apply the term “spiritual realism” to the heritage of the late Tolstoy.
