Risk factor for health loss as a reason for youth leaving the labor force

The article presents the results of the author’s sociological research, which was conducted in December 2021 with a sample size of 1 000 respondents. The object of the study was the youth working in blue-collar jobs. Theoretical approaches to the study of risks are analyzed, the necessity of studying the risk factors of health loss by youth from the standpoint of sociological science perspective is shown. The applied research examined the assessments made by youth laborers of their health status and investigated the factors negatively affecting health. Showcases the place of health loss among the fears and insecurities of youth laborers, the degree of satisfaction with their health, and demonstrates daily health care practices. The problems concerning the technical, sanitary, organizational and working conditions that largely affect youth laborers’ health are studied, measures to ensure proper working conditions for labourers are shown as well as an assessment of the compliance of working conditions with occupational health and safety regulations.
