Development factors of the main vital activities in a sound society

The paper describes the basic areas of life in contemporary Russian society such as the economy, social sphere, and culture. The research confirms that a sound society needs the sound economy, social relations, and culture. The study provides data on several social and economic indicators both in Russia and in such countries as the USA, Germany, Great Britain, France, Norway, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The paper focuses on demography, employment, destructive actions and their consequences in particular as well as on the perception of personal well-being (ill-being) in these countries in general. The presented data are analyzed. The authors assess the possibilities to create cohesion based on trust in the modern Russian society. Some measures to generate social cohesion are proposed.
